Finally some answers (in German)

OK, here are some more information about the cancellation

http://www.euranet.eu/ger/Europawahl/Euranet-unterwegs/Was-wird-aus-dem-Geld-der-ESNtrain-Teilnehmer

I am going to comment (partly translate) this article later.

What I like is that Bernhard Jäggle has finally given out some more information. Moreover, the news seems to raise our chances to get our money back (before anyone is sueing me ... this is a personal opinion, I am not a lawyer).
After reading more carefully through the article, I retract from my statement about the good news.

What I don't like is that there seems to be participants who would accept a total loss of the ticket prices (first paragraph).
What I don't like is that Bernhard suggests that this Blog destroys any chances of a future ESNTrain.

  1. In my opinion, whatever you're writing here is not destroying this idea (they're again trying to cover everything with this great european idea... bla bla bla). Their attitude destroyed that; not giving any information, talking shit about the idea and of course having no idea how to organise it. Maybe I'm still a bit angry, but if you don't know how to organise something - don't organise it. It is so simple.

  2. Thanks for this update! What is your problem with people accepting a total loss? Your share would increase :-)

As I see it, the only real money ESNtrain-Team ever had was from participants and university sources as mentioned in the interview. Let's hope that the university money is sufficient to pay all open bills!

  3. Honestly, I don't think the interview contains any new information. The part concerning a future ESNTrain is just ridiculous. How can somebody be so out of touch with reality to even spend a glimpse of a second to think of another ESNTrain? ESNTrain is dead! I mean who is going to be stupid enough to sponsor another ESNTrain? Which ESN section will be willing to support another train. The ESN sections that organized events for this train did receive exactly the same amount of information as the participants. It's just ridiculous

  4. @ESN Train Claimant What is going on here? Comments have to be aproved by now... haha

@Matt Which information should they have given you? They had none to give. By the way the train was perfectly organised, only ÖBB did drop out.

@foryou1980 The question of another ESNtrain was brougth up by the interviewer and was not really answered, least with yes. But I agree with you, it would be quite difficult right now to convince people again. How sad.

  5. BTW - new short note on esntrain page. And what may "partial payment" mean?

  6. @Matt We will find out hopefully soon :-) Let's keep fingers crossed that, return is close to 100% cos imho this will be all money there is.

  7. If the blog destroys all possibilities for a future idiocy as the ESN-Train I think it's constructive and should be maintained for the years to come! :P
