May 22nd 2010: No Money was refunded to students for the cancelled ESNTrain! Over 14 months has passed by since the reckless cancellation! This blog considers Jaeggle being a dishonest person, because he failed to answer why our money was lost and where it went. Do you know that Matthias Fenner, president of ESN International decided to resign because of ESNTrain?
ReplyDeleteI started the other way around. I started laughing about the project but it makes me now really angry! There is still no information available. I think everybody can make mistakes but please tell us what went wrong and where our money went. The censored forum makes is all worse. Maybe later on they have a good explanation for giving us no information at this time but the information at this time makes me think that we never going to learn the truth.
ReplyDeleteI totally support you and your blog is (sadly) for the moment the best source of ESNTrain information. Matthias' resignation came as a surprise to me, I've got an official e-mail about it yesterday. But that means he's taking part of the responsibility on his back.

I think what makes people more angry is that a lot of the information is not just honestly shared but we only get marketing texts. It is not necessary to blaim people or as it is called on the ESN board "finger-pointing" but about knowing what happened to be taken seriously. We all invested money and time in the project (The ESN train team probably the most).

ReplyDeleteI've got this yesterday evening, from my National Representative. I believe that Matthias' decision, though a hard one, is a step in a good direction.
I am looking forward to see what will happen next, we need clear explanation on the reasons the project was so poorly funded. My section, which was preparing free events for people on the train, already lost some money, creditability and potential future sponsors. This wouldn't have happened if we had been informed early enough.
